Bernardo Martins

I build software, work with data, and make things I end up using myself.

About

I'm studying Information Systems at UFOP, where I've been getting deeper into software, data and BI. I'm expected to graduate in 2028.

Most of what I do revolves around Python, SQL and JavaScript, usually building things to solve problems I actually have.

I also spent some time in Toronto, Canada, where I had the chance to study and experience life somewhere very different from home.

That's pretty much how I ended up with the two projects below: one blocks the sites I kept going back to, the other runs my finances.

Things I built

Lock In

Locks the sites that derail you for as long as you choose - and counts every time you try to sneak back.

Pick what stays out and for how long. When the session ends you get the report.

The Lock In popup counting down a focus session, with nine attempts blocked so far.
Lock In blocking instagram.com mid-session, showing the time left and that this is the fourth try today.

Financial PBI

A data and BI system I built around my own finances. Bots collect the entries, Python does the processing, and Power BI is what I actually open - with 47 DAX measures behind it.
